Phiddipus reports that Viibryd (vilazodone) has been very helful for his OCD.

I think I looked it up on ask a patient once and there were mixed reviews. What are you taking now? I do wonder if a med can eliminate it or it's just something that is with you for life. Something inheritated as both my parents were ocd like. Only times it didn't effect me was when busy working and not focusing on myself. Problem now. Phillipa

now i take 60 cymbalta...for ocd and 150 lamictal/600 tegretol and 2 mg of ativan for sleep and .5 in morning ....i worry i'm on too many meds i am also diabetic so dr. does not want me to use atypicals.....

As a 5ht1a partial agonist, it kicks *ss. It works quickly and treats my OCD to the point I don't even have to worry about it. I was doing well at 40 mg, but my pdoc upped me to 60 mg and a ton of the OCD just melted away.

i'm really thinking of trying it as cymbalta is losing steam......how has the wait gain been on it

my dr would sample me then have to go for an authorization form if it works ....i think it is expeensive

Its a 5ht1a partial agonist. There are no other SSRIs that have this mechanism of action.
