As most know miniscure doses of ketamine have been in the pipeline for depression a while now,with very high claims of success.
However all we do is seem to wait for something new and novel and instead get new ssrs,or ssrnis or whatever!
Well heres a little update....being p- off about how long this pipeline drug is in the waits,i did some digging on ketamine.
This is what i found...
- A chemical cousin one stucture away from ketamine,with the same exact if not larger claim of anti depressant effect.
- Since this is not technialy ketamine,its not under possable patent,and its not in a pipeline so it can be used for research purposes.
- So as always i made sure first it was nueroprotective.........and NOT toxic,and yess it is protective to the brain.
- Then i read user posts,saying how it needs to be respected because at higher doses it will get u pretty damn high,however at moderate doses like ketamine it can relieve depression.
- So um my cousin,swim lol orders some after again lots of reading.
- Makes the stupid mistake of not checking what is a correct low dose and well lol had the funnest depression free night of his entire life with a extremly mild drug that had a mild come on and mild wear off.
After having a much needed break and a hilrious night with friends,my cousin then took the recomended dose for depression.
CONCLUSION...
I dont see the biggie,at the low dose was it help ful,eh yeah,prob more so as a augment or add on.Sad to say at its best it can give u a break off depression and a night of non stop laughs.
Again i double triple checked and its nuero protective so before the yelling at me starts in lol know i checked this.

I should think that it would be very difficult to dose ketamine properly to treat depression. The therapeutic index is very narrow. Perhaps a higher dosage would have helped more.

Well like GHB is a sharp curve from therputic and high,but again lol its nuero protective and at worst you get very giddy and care free,i am not a advocate im getting stoned,but lord knows we deserve a break now and then

this was methoxetamine right? i tried it six months ago, it did nothing for me...but then again i think i have a weird ketamine tolerance developed after a few times of using it to self treat depression. the few times i have tried ketamine after, i can't get high or anything regardless of dose. same thing with psyilocybin.
but i've been in aa last 6 months so no substances like that anymore for me
