I think I've had psychotic depression for a long time. In fact, I think psychotic depression is the most accurate diagnosis for where my mood lands most of the time.
I just realized that my problems, while psychological and spiritual in some aspects, are amenable to treatment with medications. Now that the Lamictal is at 200 and I've been taking it at lower doses for over a month during my gradual titration, I feel so much better. The voices in my head are down to a minimum, and I don't let them bother me. My Abilify dosage is now 15, which so far (its only been one day, lol) seems to be sufficient.
I guess its the Lamictal that's mostly making me feel better, since I really haven't been on a reduced dosage of Abilify long enough to tell. Also, I'm doing things with people and my "social phobia" (I think these days its part of the psychotic depression) is now minimal, although I do still avoid very crowded stores if I can.

I am so happy for you, CE! And I think a lot of mood-normal people like to avoid crowded stores :-)

CE fabulous. So good to hear. Agree with Soltice I don't like crowds in stores. My least favorite store is Walmart cause of that and the lighting. Phillipa

This is great, CE. I hope this continues and improves. :-)
I have social phobia, too. But that's separate from the issue that today's stores are not harmonious environments. Products shout for attention, everything is jumbled, and besides the lighting and constant music (!), there is the outgasing of all the products.
What's to like?
