I am BP II and I have also social phobia. I have the impression that Abilify made my anxiety worser. I have also a tremor which is getting worser when I am out.
What do you think about the Abilify and social phobia?

Antipsychotics can be hit or miss for anxiety. Sometimes they make it worse, sometimes they cause akathisia, which is like anxiety but different and usually directly related to an antipsychotic's mode of action (antidepressants can cause akathisia, too), and sometimes they just don't work.
Have you tried other meds? Abilify is kind of hardcore for Bipolar II; I would think you might want to try trileptal, lamictal, low-dose lithium...apparently, some Bipolar II people can do well on just an antidepressant.
What's your dose? The tremor would indicate EPS, and the heightened anxiety along with it would, to me, indicate that Abilify really isn't the medication for you.

I've never heard of Abilify being used for social phobia. For me, it made my anxiety worse. herpills

tremor can be a symptom of low dopaminergic function which could cause social anxiety.
i would think bupropion or an MAOI would be a good way to go.
