A friend with bronchitis had a horrible side effect with valium normally takes and synthetic cough medicine for bronchitis and an advar inhaler. I would think it wouldn't cause anxiety. But she was a mess til the doc stopped the med and upped the valium. I've never heard of this?

It would be from the cough syrup I imagine. Even though there is codeine in it, there might a decongestant which can make you high as a kite under the right circumstances. Advair also can also make you loopy because it's a stimulant. It was probably a combination of everything.

Person wrote back it was the advir and the doc had to raise the valium to double the dose and discontinued the med. Person no longer trusts doctors. Phillipa
