here is the post, i posted it in the wrong forum...

I have a friend who was put on a low dose of adderall for depression she says it is the best she has felt in a long time..... anyone ever been on it for depression?

I'm on Adderall for depression and it's saved my life. Works wonders especially for treatment resistant types - and at least for me. Watch out for tolerance tho.

I took adderall and it helped a lot with the vegetative symptoms of depression -- I got up and out, worked, painted the living room, did housework, etc., after sleeping for hours and hours every day. But it didn't really improve my mood. I still had a lot of suicidal ideation and low mood.

i am so glad to hear that therebare others out there that use it for depression an it actually helps.I need to ask my dr for a script if he'll give me one

could they have combined that with a AD? I know meds do not work the same for everyone, but you described me no energy sleep all day and have been on "most" AD"S

I took adderall while on lexapro. Lexapro never really did anything for me. I'm glad for you if adderall is working to counteract depresssion. Once upon a time, stimulants were the front line against depression

I was on Adderall for a time and yes it did improve my depression symptoms. Dextroamphetamine worked even better. Now I have a Dr. that will only prescribe Vyvanse for me. I assume because it may be slightly less addictive? Vyvanse helps but not nearly as well as the others.
