It's been a dog's age since I've been on this site. Good things to report but not today!
I've reduced my 40mg. Lexapro down to 30 over the past 17 days. 5mg. for 15 days, then down another 5mgs. 2 days ago. Experiencing intestinal pain/cramping and diarrhea today--like not going far from home. Is this NORMAL Lexapro withdrawal stuff?
Thank you to one and all for helping me here.

The following is the Discontinuation-Emergent Signs and Symptoms Scale (DESS) list of symptoms. I think it is worth noting that this scale was devised in 1998. It is unfortunate that it has taken so many years for the mainstream of medicine to acknowledge the frequency and severity of the DS phenomenon. Absent in this list are "brain zaps" or "electric shock" sensations in the head. Maybe the authors of the list just didn't know what to call them. Either that, or they were incredulous of the descriptions they must surely have received from their patients.
