I came across this and found it amazing.GBL if anyone doesent know is a chemical compound that once ingested converts to ghb,in essence it is ghb,only more potent and strong,when ghb was banned there was a enourmas shift to gbl.
Immediatly touted was the claims one after another that gbl was extremly toxic,u couldent and still cant on general searches read how toxic gbl is.
However when looking in the right places for actual medical info,u might come across such info as this,
"/HUMAN EXPOSURE STUDIES/ A 10% lotion of gamma-butyrolactone in ethanol/water was tested for its effect on sports injuries (distortions, sprains, strains and/or contusions of the extremities, spine or thorax) in 6 subjects (35 to 67 years old) by having them rub 2 to 5 mL of the lotion into the skin covering the painful sites. The pain decreased noticeably within 10 to 20 minutes, disappearing completely within 1 to 2 hours. The effect on rheumatic disorders (self-experiments with 14 subjects) was assessed by rubbing in 2 to 5 mL 2 or 3 times daily. Alleviation of pain set in within 1 to 3 hours in all patients. After 5 days of treatment, pain due to pressure or movement, resting pain and limited mobility were markedly less pronounced than when no treatment was given or known commercial liniments were used for treatment. Migraine headache pain (4 subjects) disappeared within 40 minutes without reappearing after 3 to 5 mL of the lotion was rubbed onto the forehead and temples within 10 minutes. Following application of 5 to 10 mL daily, the subjects felt neither tired or sleepy nor did they experience any other unpleasant effects.

Along with this article was additonal info stating clearly that gbl was not toxic,however in combo with other sedatives it can be very very dangerous,benzos,alcholol,and many drugs should not be used in combo with either ghb or gbl unless you have extensive knowledage of the chemicals.GHB is an actual recptor,natural,ghb take oraly has effects on gaba b,serotion turnover and increase,gaba increase,and dopamine increase.
These effects all rely on dose,im not recomdending any one go and seek this,in fact i strongly strongly advicse not,my reason for this post is i believe we were stolen a chemical that could have been takin pahrmictualy and used to greatly treat depression,however god for bid a substance actualy increases mood is a no no,there fore ghb prob will never be looked at for its mental attributes.
Just to note,ghb is not some crazy drug made ina basement,instead it was a higly known chemical created by a dr henri laborit,who also created thorazine,he was obssesed with both gaba and dopamine in maniac people,and was strongly upset with the current barberic treatment used in hospitals,his introdcution of thorazine was the first time people hosptilased began to actualy leave and go home,he was nominated for the nobel prize for thorazine.
His two projects were in fact ghb and thorazine,this is where the horrid date rape drug came from.Sorry for the rant,and i do know and respecot many views opposite to mine on ghbs status.Night guys,

So it's a topical cream that then converts to ghb once inside the body? Does it have the same mechanism of action and results as GHB (memory loss, inhibition, etc.)? I hadn't ever heard that ghb could help with depression. I guess you hear so much about it's other uses that you never hear anything else.

No its use is non inestable or human assumtion in anyway,even so when used illgagly or for any matter oral is the only kinda,the posting of it as a topical lotion was just to comment on the firm claim without informative backing that gbl is totaly toxic.....there were products of gbl real products that sought out fda approval,their denial letters are posted on the net,the fda said no.
What is curious to me is ghb is scheldued as a harmful drug of abuse,and also holds a second scheldule as a precription drug.Odd to see a chemical with two shelcdule classes listed for it.

I have used Ghb and gbl, both are strong antidepressants, and work immediately--no waiting for 2-6 weeks. Ghb is better and cleaner at least for me. These are potentially dangerous drugs (actually not really drugs), but have real therapeutic value when used properly. If you have narcolepsy related issues (cataplexy) you can get a prescription for Xyrem (ghb).

Well a friend had xyrem,and i dont know how,but they took something out of it,xyrem to me felt nothing like any ghb ive used both liquid and powder.
To answer your quest which im guessing u know lol,the only legal substitute for ghb or id say even possable alternative is l-phenibutt,but something gives me the feeling u know this already,when i learned on ghb my post handle was brklyn234
