> Why?
Because treating what's going on with the neck gland and what's going on with the mind and head can be a workable successful plan. Treating only one of those diseases doesn't work as well as treating both.

---flutterby: Thank you for finding this Phillipa. I've had Hashimotos since my 20s so I've never been overweight due to meds but I've always been s-l-o-w and tired a lot, my whole adult life.(can get paranoid too- off and on) It's always amazed me how much energy most other people have! I can't get the things accomplished in three days what most people do in ONE day-- have always felt like such a failure. I see the p-doc this week and am going to show this to her. Thank you again. maybe there is hope.....

---flutterby: It's worth suggesting to the p-doc, I'll see what she has to say. I've tried several anti-Ds but still I move so slow and have much fatigue. It's hard to believe I've lived my whole adult life like this-- feel like I've missed out on a lot coz I'm usually too tired and concentration comes and goes. I thought it was just ME "slow flutterby" and that there's nothing I could do about it, (like always being cold)........ here's hoping.....

Because the study article is titled "TREATMENT OF ANERGIC DEPRESSION IN HASHIMOTO'S THYROIDITIS WITH FLUOXETINE AND d-AMPHETAMINE" thus the scope of the study is to address a potential treatment option for severe anergia fatigue and depression.

I do. The cases presented sounded promising. Careful followings and followups would be the ultimate way and a key to this type of treatment being successful without problems arising but I do think it could be a promising answer.
