has parnate stopped working so soon?

Posted by epona_lee on September 15, 2009, at 8:45:29

so i started parnate about 2 weeks ago, the first week was great. i was 20 mgs and felt a little sleepy and unenergetic, but things didn't bother me. after awhile i upped it to 30mgs and slowly the depressing thoughts creeped back. now i cannot tell if its working. the depression isn't as bad as before the med, but it isn't like the first week. i even got really super irritable for 2 days and embarrassed myself in front of my inlaws. i'm wondering if the dose needs upped, or if i need to add to it. i don't want to change cos i do feel like its done something, but its not like i feel stable yet.

What does your doctor say? Perhaps you need more time or an increase..let your doc know how you're feeling and go from there.

i see him in a little over a week. im going to tell him, but i guess i was more curious if that was normal for parnate-like, it seems like its working in the very beginning, but then stops and needs to build up? was it only feeling good the first few days cos my body wasn't used to it?
