I was in a nightmarish depression and in the hospital for nearly a month. The last two weeks on parnate/trilafon have made me feel human again. The only side effect is that I feel somewhat sedated, which is possibly the trilafon. But it may also be the hot weather after spending most of the month in air-conditioning as well as the fact that I basically didn't get out of bed for six weeks and am just starting to exercise again. So right now, I am feeling very good about these drugs.
I had been hopeless at the beginning, since I've tried every SSRI/SNRI/atypical-anti-pyschotic/mood stabilizer on the market, without relief, except for the atypicals which made me gain so much weight I had to stop them.
Do these drugs "poop out" does anybody know. My inpatient pdoc says MAOIs don't, but I'd be interested in other people's experience.
This is the end of the thread.
