Anything new in the drug pipeline for ADD-I?

Posted by TriedEveryDrug on July 22, 2009, at 21:58:24

my old standby has pooped out (desipramine. couldn't stand it anyway)

Now nothing really works for my concentration and "staying on task" (and I've tried it all).

I see my doc next monday and I'm going to ask to try Savella.

Other than that, anything new out there?

My doc didn't think it would be any different than adderall for me. (adderall sort of makes my add worse in some ways)

Could he be wrong?

I find it is much less activating than adderall..... smoother, milder.....

If adderall makes your ADD worse in some ways, maybe you don't really have ADD. ADD can be a symptom of many other things like, depression, bipolar, anxiety, etc.

Personally, I don't buy into all of these ADD diagnoses. I hope you don't take this personally, I just think that ADD/ADHD, is more often a symptom of an underlying issue than it is an actual biological disorder we are simply born with.

Adderall doesnt make my add worse...it just has more of a rebound effect than the vyvanse.....
