For those who have experience with segeline, what symptoms brought about your decision to take it?
Are some doctors reluctant to prescribe it?

Depression was my major symptom coupled with anxiety. I had good luck with the Emsam patch untl I developed a rash in my mouth which may or may not have been associated with the patch. I stopped the patch and the rash disappeared. We didn't try it again. I though it was a good AD.

Have you since followed-up with Parnate? It might make for an effective substitute for Emsam.

I went in a completely different direction for reasons I forget. I'm now on pristiq and remeron plus provigil, klonopin, gabapentin and weaning of seroquel. Sounds like a mess but I feel like myself for the first time in a long time.

PS. Having had almost all of the SSRIs poop out or fail, I keep the idea of MAOIs in mind.

Did you add the remeron after the pristiq? Was that what "did it" in terms of you feeling like yourself again?
I'm considering adding remeron to my cocktail as i haven't tried it before and the whole california rocket fuel idea seems pretty sexy.
Have you gained a lot of weight on remeron? And what dose are you at if I may ask?

Not a mess at all. It all makes sense to me. At any rate, I am very happy that things have worked out for you. You will probably continue to improve with that combination.

Zana too bad about the patch as I always wanted to try it but pdoc said too stimulating for me. What dose did you go on so many were on it here when new. Very expensive also. Love Phillipa

I added pristiq to the remeron. I take 45mgs, all at bedtime. It's a real knock out med. No, I haven't gained weight on it. DK why. For me the turn around came when I added pristiq and provigil.
Good luck.Zana

Thanks Scott. Whenever I have to go through the list I feel like a bag lady. But it's working for me, at least for now. Yeah, who knows, maybe it will get better!
Thanks again.Zana

i used it as it was the cheapest/most availible MAOI. Didn't find it too helpful, mostly just mad horny.
I also had some mild irritation on my lower legs, but only really noticed it when i went running. didn't really rise to level of rash.
didn't have a rx for it.
