Hi, I read some warning about Wellbutrin and alcohol, but I can not really get any real clarity about this. I almost never drink, but like to have the possibility to some social drinking sometimes, and maybe some more on a party once in awhile. I know alcohol is no good when battling psych problems, or talking any other AD for that matter. I always get the blues after drinking alcohol, but no real problems with different meds so far.
Any advice on this, is there any real problem with Wellbutrin and alcohol? Anyone with personal experiences on this one?

Linda certainly not advocating alchohol but I always felt better when drinking beer on any ad? Always felt great the next day. I wonder why? Never got drunk. Phillipa

Seriously hence I wonder if that paxil l0mg ever did a thing for me as 4-6 coronos at night with .5 xanax. I only felt good with it onboard. Of all the things used over the years beer is the only thing that has helped me. Now since the seizure theshold is lowered on wellbutrin I don't think I'd drink as alchohol can also cause seizures while on wellbutrin. Phillipa

I dont kow how to explain why, but, yes i have read, or catched more "do not mix" with alcohol, bad reactions.
The same iwth Dextroamphetamine (it increases heartbeat [alcohol+amphetamine] would shoot, also causes definate noticable sweating, and redness in face, body.
Wellbutrin isnt stimulant, it's a antidepressant that affects nuerotransmitters that are activing that the body already has. Dopamine and Norephenerine.

no, its ok to take both, the risk is of seizures. heavy drinking (as in, a fifth every day, for weeks) can cause seizures if you quit, and bupropion can cause seizures.
