Depakote and Vitamins

Here's some info. on vitamin supplements for people who take Depakote:

Thanks for the bipolar link, it looks like some good info and my son takes 1500mg Depakote per day

Sounds almost like the same risks with vitamins as meds. Maybe that is why the FDA is now developing medical "foods" like Deplin????. I know for me I used to take a lot of food supplements as was marketed to me Shaklee and trusted them. Now not so sure. I do know the B's seem to increase anxiety for me so stick with ca and magnesium, MVI, C and the endo tested for D and it's fine. Phillipa

Is there a point where you can have too much of a vitamin and it does more harm than good?

Definitely the non water soluable vitamins for example vita A can turn your skin orange, too much E not good can cause bleeding. Many others also. Depends on the person. Phillipa
