My psychiatrist has finally given me the go ahead and has prescribed Parnate.I'm also on Lamictal 200mg and Klonopin 2-3mgs.I haven't heard of anyone using Lamictal with Parnate. If anyone has any knowledge on this please post.
Also is it safe to use a low dose of Trazadone (50mg)for insomnia while on Parnate? If not what other medications are effective?

Welcome to maois :-) I dunno about lamictal but traz is fine with maois (although it is technically contraindicated) as it's been rx'd for maoi related insomnia for decades. Just be aware the possibility of seratonin syndrome is still there but very minimal at a nice low dose (25-100mg/night) for sleep. I take it nardil. You may find it to energize a lil at lower doses...just means you havent reached your effective dose for sleep yet...raise a lil.
keep smilin,

Hi.
You can take Lamictal with just about anything. I am taking it with Parnate 80mg. I like it. I also take desipramine and Abilify. I am bipolar.
The only real caveat with using Lamictal is that if you are going to combine it with Depakote, you have to use only half as much Lamictal.

I am also on Lamictal 300 mg, and Klonopin as well. So, yes, there is at least one person using it! :)
