Abilify problem! Anyone had this?

Posted by Zyprexa on December 18, 2008, at 8:42:57

Every time I have taken abilify and gone back off it. Back on zyprexa. There is this period of re-adjustment, where I feel worse first then beter or normal like before the abilify.

Any one else have this problem?

It seems to be time related too. I take the abilify for a long time, and the readjustment period is longer. This time I have been off the abilify for a year and a half and still have not fully recovered. I took the abilify for about 8 months. The first time I noticed this I had taken the abilify for 2 weeks. It then took about 6 weeks to start feeling better. This was after a period of feeling worse than I did on the abilify.

I'm sorry Z,
Never had this experience. I was on 5mg (3mos), then 10mg (8mos), then 5mg(1mos) then zero (3mos), then 5mg (2 weeks)

not much to report-- when I stopped abilify earlier, I felt kind of different, but not bad. Then I started to have very fast racing thoughts. some insomnia, etc.

hence restarting the abilify.

I hope things smooth out soon.
