Hi manic666 I miss my beer too but know it's not good for me. So I know the feeling except the next day one as never drunk enough to get drunk. Phillipa

You're not a bad boy and I'm not trying to be ad-hominem but if you drink more than several drinks a day per week you're heading in the direction of alcoholism.
People do seek out alcohol as a sedative, inhibitor of fear, etc -- but in the end, it can leave you more depressed than when you started.
Also there is the issue compounded with medication, nasty headaches afterwards, liver damage and all.
But this is just common sense, I'm just pointing this out -- I know civilization despite social morays has produced alcohol for millenia, its just something to watch out for.
Most non-benzophobe doctors I think would rather the patient use something like klonopin than drink another six pack, but that's all up to you.
And you're not the only one -- it points out that there is a chance that other medications could work that wouldn't harm the liver as much over the years.-- best wishes

I've been through nearly 8 years of therapy -- and I'm not trying to compare years, that's a non-starter, but if you have a disorder in the psychosis spectrum and I'm not saying this is true for everybody, in fact it may be only true for a small number of people, just remember that alcohol may contribute rather than detract from your symptoms, in an unknown way.
Please keep on keeping on and sticking to a treatment plan which includes other things as well as medication.
