I see my pdoc tomorrow and I don't know whether I should ask for an Rx for one a day or two a day. How many hours does a Xanax XR last?

Marsha for years I took the regular xanax then a pdoc here last summer gave me time release. I didn't sleep for two weeks. Have heard the time release doesn't release as it should and I know my Daughter in law took regular in between. I do think the regular is better and seriously generic Greenstone is the real xanax just their generic version. Another poster here got it and agreed. Seriously. Love Phillipa

Xanax XR would last like 10-12 hours for me back when I took it. However, like a lot of time release meds I've taken,it didn't seem consistent; the first five or six hours seemed much stronger than the next five or so hours.

\thanks, Phillipa, it just the right decision based on what everybody said. I don't want to end up taking 2or 3 of the long acting when I could just take 2or 3 of the short acting instead. The less meds, the better.

I don't know if it's greenstone but I'm sure I got te generic. My insurance always gives me generic.
