Dear Electric Fan
Your thoughts are in the box as marked.
Please do not attempt to control your thoughts.
Leave them in the box.
If you talk to them they may become agitated.

Are you getting racing, anxious thoughts? You may need to explain your symptoms a little more; however, on the face of it, it sounds like Zyprexa (Olanzapine) may help you. I have personally never took it - I'm currently trying Seroquel (without much success). However, I hear a lot of people on here say how good it is at calming agitated or racing thoughts, as well as it's broad antipsychotic effects (not that I'm saying you are suffering from psychoses).
I'm no expert on the subject - someone who has taken Zyprexa may be able to advise you better. What else have you tried in the past? Antidepressants? Anxiolytics?

Maybe you need to look at another anti-psychotic medication? I'm currently on 150mg of Seroquel (quite a low dose) for acute anxiety and panic attacks. I haven't felt much in the way of any anxiolytic effect from it; however, a lot of people on here have had a great response to it.
My psychiatrist was also taking about the older 'typical' anti-psychotics a few weeks back. He was saying that although they have a higher risk of certain side effects such as tardive diskenisia, there is still very much a place for them in modern psychiatry (his words not mine). You may have a better response from trying those instead. Also what about some of the anti-epileptic drugs?? Some people on here seem to achieve some good results from them.

Seroquel isnt, i could ill give it a try. I just have heard Zyprexa is heavier on anit-pyhotic properties than seroquel. Mainly my problem is thoughts that really bother me, but these thoughts are NORMAL because they are things i know i need to do. Such as..... umm taking control of my life and being the boss of my life. But i lack at it. And there are events that are coming up that im scared of.
So these thoughts are healthy because there making me think of the normal way of life, such as getting my own place, being normal, but bother me at the same time.
But, to make a point they get to the point where they drive me insane! and plus i have newphew that is 30min away i need to see. I feel like an awful uncle.
Thanks for the imput though....
