Generally speaking, you shouldn't stop taking psychiatric medications suddenly because of the possible side-effects of doing so.
Is this listed on dr-bob.org as a disclaimer for instance anywhere? I think it is important enough to warrant the consideration; many people are not aware that you should not stop taking these drugs suddenly. It is a simple but very important rule.

Unless it is new with intolerable side effects I've stopped many times with my pdocs okay. Agree if you've been on them a while a taper is in order. Phillipa

I agree, yes and no. You are not going to help your condition at all if you don't take the medicine. As bad as this part sounds, I think it may actualy help me to once in a while skip a few doses, but not for very long. If I go for too long, it starts to effect me negatively. The reason I like to skip a dose or few is to sort of take a break, and sort of gives a sense of temparary reality. Which eventualy goes away if you do it too long.
Whats your oppinion. I know this type of thing scares doctors or makes them think you realy don't need it. and actualy got me taken of the medicine for a while, which was counter productive.

Completely agreed with with caveats and what categories are necessary and what aren't.
Allergic reactions, low WBC, possible imminent (and not EPS) Tardive(s), drop the medicine with your doctor as soon and as safe.
Long term use of APs, benzodiazepines more than 4 weeks or so, barbiturates similarly, long term use of propranolol, clonidine/Tenex, a fair laundry list of psychotropics with long term use.
"Vacation" from SSRIs only if they're very short acting, i.e. skipping a single dose of Paxil to have sexual intercourse.
Similar common sense.
