SCOPOLAMINE - more questions

Posted by Jimmyboy on September 23, 2007, at 11:11:36

I keep posting about this , but my experience with it has been pretty interesting so if anyone knows or can speculate on these questions I would love to hear your thoughts.

I have been taking the pills, last time one .4 mg pill and went from days of despair to normal within an hour or two. Anxiety was gone and the endless cycle of negative thoughts are gone too. This improvement lasted about 24 hours , sleep the next night was bad and woke up feeling awful, worse than before, almost like a hangover..

I can't take it everyday b/c the memory side effects are so strong, I would be a moron.

The studies I have seen used IV scoplamine and said that the positive results for most people lasted "weeks or months" for some people. -- while the postive effects for me taking pills only lasted a very short time. Anyone think that the method of administration ( IV vs oral pills) could account for this discrepancy?

I know I'm not answering you question but it makes me wonder what happens to the people who use the patch for a cruise? Because of seasickness. Phillipa

Philipa,

I know they are currently testing the Scop- patch and pills for major depression and bipolar depression.. I think they are still recruiting people.

Unfortunately they do not list the protocall , or dosing schedule of how they are doing it. I would like to know that.

Did the IV last night, felt groggy all day and had alot of inner tension and panicky, like too much dopamine.. I settled down later with the help of some benzos and am wired and can;t go to sleep.

Plus , immediate loss of any sexual desire, I find that strange and hope that goes away pronto. I am also interested to see if it lasts.

Its been 2 full days since scop IV , still feel a lifting of the depression.. the inner tesnsion has subsided ( with the help of xanax partially)

I think the sexual side effects may have been caused by the Lamictal I started awhile back but exascerbated by the scop.

This scopolamine IV I had has made me feel terrible, what ever you do , do not try this stuff.. My memory is impaired and I am having major amounts of inner tension and has completely killed my libido. I just pray these effects are not permanent, its been 4 days and the drug should definitely be out of my system, so i am really baffled by this.
