Hey everyone. I hope you're having a great weekend.
I'm currently in the process of tapering off 3mg/day (taken as 1mg 3x/day) onto 2-3mg Klonopin. I'm also starting a whopping 1mg of Prozac daily. LOL I CANNOT tolerate Antidepressants anywhere near the therapeutic dose without it literally making me go nuts.
I started the Xanax XR/Klonopin change last Monday (July 2) and added the 1mg of Prozac today as so far my switchover has been going more smoothly than expected.
I have a couple of questions about Klonopin and Prozac:
1. Does the Klonopin tiredness typically go away after your body adjusts to it?
2. Does Klonopin tend to make one more depressed?
3. Has anyone found Prozac to be effected at 5mg/daily or less?
4. Does Prozac tend to help with anxiety after a while?
If anyone has any experience or answers to these questions, I would appreciate your sharing them as I've been on the Medication Merry-Go-Round BIG TIME for YEARS.
I hope to hear from someone soon as I actually have high hopes for this combo and really could use some help as I've been through SO MUCH!

Baby Bunny I wish you much success klonopin and me didn't work valium is better for me. Prozac I only wish I had tried low doses like you as I tried it when first out and at 20mg it skyrocketed me into anxiety panic by day three. At a low dose probably would have worked. Good luck Love Phillipa

>~~~ I'm of the opinion any benzo can cause depressive symptoms due to being CNS depressants. Klonopin tends to get more of a rep for that but I found any of 'em I used, over time, tended to have me feeling depressed if I wasn't on an AD. The addition of an AD elevated those symptoms for me.
