This is just a survey for your opinion, especiall y people who took both.
What is your opinion?BTW I took the 3rd SNRI Milnacipran and it acted like a NRI no sedation, irritation and Urinary difficulty..etc. I felt I was taking a brother of Atomoxetine or reboxetine, but less side effects. It is very different from the other SNRI because it is a very potent Noradrenaline reuptake Inhibitor.

In reply to Survey. Did Cymbalta beat effexorXR/Milnacipran, posted by cloudnine on July 8, 2007, at 0:19:17
I am on Effexor XR now. This has been my second week on it. I feel much better without any noticeable side effects other than little bit of sleepiness during the day time.
I was on Cymbalta in the past. Around 60mg. I hate that stuff. It made me emotionally tooooooooooooooooooo blunt. I would never try that again.

I was on Effexor and went all the way up to 225mg. I found that I was so tired all the time, forgetful and had no feelings. Took it for a year or two (see, I can't remember how long!)
Pdoc switched me to Cymbalta and I feel much better. I was as high as 80, but I've brought it down to 60mg. Pdoc finally added Provigil for afternoon tiredness, which I had with both drugs, and I feel much better. I feel more on Cymbalta, but still can't really cry, etc. which is the same as Effexor. I just found with Effexor that I just didn't care a lot of the times, which clearly interfered with my work. Deadlines? I didn't care.
For me, the switch worked. I feel less drugged.

Effexor wins hands down for me. I don't remember any bad side effects from it. Cymbalta on the other hand just left me feeling like I was in a coma all the time. I would rank Cymbalta as one of the worst meds I've ever tried. Results vary for everyone though.

Cymbalta first time did nothing at 60mg . Second time I could not cry head felt like it would explode at 30mg went off it. I tried effexor when first out only for a week or so felt like a zombie. Love Phillipa
