I was wondering if anyone has loss of feeling in legs and sometimes arms from Lamictal. I am only on 100mg but I get like pins and needles and sometimes cant feel my legs with severe weakness. Is this normal. scared.

Sometimes, my right deltoid gets really weak and limp feeling. It's temporary, but it makes my arm feel really weak. I haven't worried about it much, since it doesn't do it that often. I just assume it's the Lamictal, since it didn't happen before I was on it.

Thanks, Mine is sort of like the feeling when you over work your muscles. But I have been having it everyday. I hate the numbness also. Its also in my wrists. I just had a ton of blood work done.all is well with that. now I have to have other tests done. The Dr doesnt want me to cut the lamictal. I feel also like my nerves are shot I am extremily tense and jumpy. plus my depression is worse than when I was on 75 mg.

Thanks Phillipa, I am trying to find out if its common and if it will go away eventually. I am scared of permanent damage to my nerves.

Is that a possibility? I hadn't heard of it myself.

YES! I was on only 50mg and would have numbness on my skin near my ankles. Also, whenever I would cross my legs and my leg would go to sleep, it would take nearly an hour for the tingling to go away and I would have to slowly get up or I would fall, normally it only takes a minute or two.
