Didn't you write that thread above on zyprexa for the anxiety? Is it not working? If not I'd call your pdoc and let him know maybe a benzo for the start-up anxiety? Love Phillipa

But I was asking how long does it take before the zoloft will be working well. Thank You Suebird

The SSRI's usually take quite a few weeks. Some they work for more quickly . Average is 4-6 weeks Love Phillipa

Average is 4 to 6 weeks *at a therapeutic dose.* That means that it might be much more than 6 weeks, if you're not at a therapeutic dose for you.
By the way, did your doctor have you start at a lower dose and move up to 150mg? Or just start at 150mg? That high a starting dose might contribute to your anxiety, in which case toughing it out might be in order. If it's contributing to the anxiety, that means the anxiety will ease off as it starts working. And starting at a higher dose means it is likely to start working sooner than if you had to titrate up more slowly.
This is the end of the thread.
