I've had problems with leg pain that OTC analgesics and Neurontin don't help with. I probably have some form of neuropathy, as I have had episodes of loss of feeling and control in my fingers(although no pain in fingers). My doc decided to try Lyrica, 75mg. bid. It's done wonders for the leg pain. It also seems to have helped my mood. It does make me spacy, when I first take it. Also I've had some blurring of vision.
Has anyone else had this mood improvement with Lyrica? I'm interested in hearing all experiences with taking Lyrica.

I don't know about that. 75mg bid so far is taking away the pain, which is giving me a new life. I can do things all the time, and I'm starting a part-time job on Mon. My reason for taking Lyrica is pain control. I'll stay at this dose as long as it works for pain. The improved mood is a welcome side effect.

I think one of the side effects is it makes some people feel good or high. Congratulations if you're one of the lucky ones. Even though it's not marketed to treat depression, I hope it helps you out with that.
