Here goes. I would like of list of meds for mood stabilizers and meds for bipolar 2 if anyone knows. The reason is, my doc only seems to think tried and true studies have only been done on a few of the drugs. Since I trust the opinion of people here, I'd rather ask my fellow love ones.

Yes, Depakote is a tried and true agent. Didn't do too much for me, but I am unipolar. There's always the old Lithium but that has its side effects and the like.
I think your doctor is probably conservative and wants to start with the old agents, because the new ones like Lamictal and the atypical neuroleptics have their own set of side effects that have not had as many combined patient-years as Depakote. Still, Zyprexa and Seroquel may dampen mania for short term management.

Look on Remedyfind.com and look up bipolar 2 meds. You'll get to see people's favorites, too.

what works for you the best, alchohol, mj, or coffee?

I read an article that said Abilify and Topamax is a life saver. The article was from National Institute of Mental Illness.
