Theo,
I took the Relentless Improvement brand of piracetam (generic for Nootropil) and felt somewhat agitated on it as I tend to do with most cholinergic meds and supplements. I did not notice any antidepressant benefits.
For the record, my depressive disorder Left untreated, my affective disorder typically includes symptoms of psychomotor retardation, leaden paralysis, lethargy, difficulty concentrating, hypersomnia, unrefreshing sleep, anhedonia, and social anxiety when left untreated.

I didn't like it, although it worked. I like Hydergine and deprenyl though.

I tried generic piracetam. It seemed to generally wake me up but made me agitated. I was taking a hefty dose of clonazepam at the time so that may have altered the effect.
