Concerta xtended release tabs - ok to cut?

Hi,

Is the effectiveness of the Concerta extended release tabs compromised when cut ih half? My dosage was reduced and I have some of the 36mg left that I could still take (in half). These are expensive and it would be a waste just to throw them away. Thanks.

Do NOT cut them. They will not give you half the dose if they are cut in two because of the way the slow release mechanism works.
