I had PCP slipped into alcohol 9 years ago without my knowledge. I've had 5 flashbacks since then anytime I've had any amount of alcohol at all (this past March I had a piece of candy with Menthol that triggerred the flashback). I have no problem avoiding alcohol all together as I have for the past 7 years since determining it was somehow related to alcohol exposure (I just determined the PCP connection last month through extensive online research and consulting with doctors). The past 7 years I've gotten sick 4 times when alcohol was in food I ate.
The flashbacks last a week and exactly mirror in length and symptoms the hellish week I experienced 9 years ago following initial exposure.
Is there anything that will stop the flashback when it's happenning or keep it from happenning in the first place?
Thank you,
Brian

I'm suprized it was PCP. That's not a very popular date rape drug. I would think ketamine or Rohypnol.
But regardless, if you are experiencing flashback hallucinations, from what I've heard haloperidol (Haldol) is given to people having bad trips. It's an old and powerful antipsychotic.
That might be overkill, though. Maybe just something like Valium or Zanax, both benzodiazepines, to ease the anxiety and allow you to ride the symptoms out.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear about this story. I hope lasting relief is found.> I'm suprized it was PCP. That's not a very popular date rape drug. I would think ketamine or Rohypnol.
But you know, I most unfortunately once knew a PCP user/pusher who was so enthused about PCP use that he tried dropping it into lots of people's drinks,- claiming to be doing them "a favor".
