Hey everyone
I just wondered if anyone had any ideas as to whats making me feel so damn tired all the time?
The only med I'm currently on is Tianeptine
And my fatigue predates my use of TianeptineDoesn't seem to be affected by sleep either-I sometimes feel like I have more energy if I sleep less
Fatigues been an ongoing problem for me for the last few years.
The limmited number of ADs I've tried don't seem to have helped much. What I'm wondering is could there be some kind of physical cause?
I've got some bowel problems, IBS probably-Could this be affecting it?
Has anyone else had these kind of problems?
Has anyone treated them succesfully?

Tom, of course it has a physical cause. It's just trying to find it and find out ways to make it better. It may of course have a psychological cause. I have fatigue no doubt for various reasons, one of which is that I never sleep well. That may be HPA Axis overactivation, inflammatory cytokines and stuff, and/or a disorder of carbohydrate metabolism causing an adrenaline response at 2am, and/or an alcohol problem, and/or an unhappy home life, and/or no friends of the right sort, and we could go on like that for quite a while, hey?
Your IBS is no doubt part of all this, of course.

When I take tianeptine I get an immediate stuffy nose...that's my high IgE. In ways I'm completely ignorant of, that's all connected to the CHO catabolism thing and that's connected to hormones, and Godknows. The Chinese, who were wiser than us, called the brain a 'strange organ'. Our mental maps are not that helpful.
You like tianeptine? Does it make you feel weird? It's mildly prosocial for me. I can understand people saying it makes them feel weird, but it's no weirder than normal for me.

Tom,Have you ever had your a.m. serum cortisol tested? Mine is low, and I have to supplement it to even function. Tianeptine lowers cortisol and therefore completely wiped me out, like back before I began to supplement. Don't know if your response is related to that, just wanted to note it totally wiped me out for days for that reason. Might also explain your underlying fatigue. Might Google adrenal fatigue...
Good luck,
Suzie

Thanks Guys
Probably would be an idea to get my Adrenals checked.
I've been under a lot of stress over the past few years.
This probably hasn't done much for my Adrenals!
This is the end of the thread.
