Does it work better than Benadryl?
What dose did you take?
Does it have much of a hangover?
I have a whole bottle in my drawer, and I don't know how it got there.

Yes, I've taken promethazine (Phenergan). It sure put me to sleep but I didn't wake up until noon :S It seems to have a much longer duration of action than diphenhydramine (Benadryl).

Phenergan is a weak dopamine antagonist. I tried a high dose once and it felt like an antipsychotic.

I've tried it. Ironically I don't find it too sedating. Promethazine + codeine is a nice cough remedy at nights.
