I hear of the use of pindolol as an augmentation stradegy quite a bit, but have never heard of anyone's experience with it.
Has anyone here used pindolol. If so, your reactions to it ?

I used it in conjunction withh SSRIs a few years ago (when it was all the talk here).
It didn't help but then I'm not a reliable guinea pig (Bipolar, so my responses to SSRIs are v erratic). Side effects were non-existent and I've read the profile is generally pretty benign.
If I remember correctly, researchers ruled out the likelihood that Pindolol actually improves AD response rates, but argued that there was *some* evidence to suggest that it *accelerated* latent response.

I would like to switch from atenolol to pindolol. My doctor wants to wait until we see how I do on Lyrica before we make the switch. I liked propranolol better as it had more of an anti-anxiety effect (or maybe just toned my reactions down a couple of notches). Nothing much with atenolol, other than helping blood pressure, for me.
I read somewhere that pindolol resets the beta-adreneric receptors and is being used for Fibromyalgia for this purpose.
