I can't take it anymore. I'm hardly functioning. But I'm afraid they won't be able to help me and then I will kill myself because I've run out of alternatives.

Ilene if you are in this condition please go to a hostpital. I am sorry i didnt got back with you on the babble mail.
If you really cant take it at this time, please get to somewhere. If it is better for the Well-being of yourself, not your work, you can at least try to pull yourself together.
I have thought about going into mental wards many times. My pressures of life with my parents, collage, relationships, my failures torchure me.
Ilene try to at least talk to your doctor about what is happening. Ask about a moderate dose of Dexedrine. 30mg. It will at least make you feel that your on your feet. But i dont know, with anxiety. It an option.
Please belive in positive mind set. Dont look forward or backward, look upward. It will lift you out of the pitt.
Take Care
Matt

Ilene,I am so sorry you are feeling so bad. I understand exactly what you mean. I keep thinking the same thing myself. The hospital is kind of the last resort and if they can't help you there, then where do you turn next?
But I think if you are already suicidal or close to it, you should go. There will at least be some sense of relief at knowing that you don't have to think about it anymore - they are there and will be taking care of you and everything. And who knows? They may be able to put you on something that will actually help. The main thing is to stay alive right now. Let them be the ones to worry about helping you. In the hospital you can say, "no, I'm not feeling better" and then they have to figure out what to do next. You don't have to.
Please take care of yourself first of all.
I will be thinking about you.

Going to the hospital is the best thing for you to do when you're feeling so unsafe. Please know that we are all thinking of you and wishing you only the best and a brighter future.
Take good care,

I had to put myself in the hospital back in February (my first experience).
It was the best choice I made at the time. I pray you get the help and relief you need.
Please keep us posted.

I got out of the hospital on Saturday. I liked talking to my doctor, but all he did was take me off Prozac and put me on Cymbalta, and tell me I needed therapy. It was nice to de-stress for a little while (9 days, to be exact) but overall, I don't feel too much better. There is no way to stop the pain. All I can do is wait.

Hi Ilene,
It's good to see you back here.
How are you doing on the new medicine, Cymbalta? I was interested in trying it, but the lowest available strength is still too much for me to tolerate.
I hope that your kitties gave you a good homecoming party. Did they pounce on you?

I'm so glad you're back Ilene. I'm sorry you didn't get more help. Maybe the Cymbalta will actually work.

Welcome back, Irene. Cymbalta works for me though it felt like it took wayyyy too long to become effective. I actually didn't think it was working until I checked back in my notes on how my mood was - the change was so gradual. Of course, that's just me and how I reacted.
Phil is right, the waiting is a hard time for us. I'm sending you some positive energy tonight, OK?
