It took me 43 years to find the proper diagnosis and treatment for my condition. I have seriously underachieved due to my life-time of struggles but now I am going back to finish college.
I am extremely excited but at the same time apprehensive due to my past struggles. Does anyone have any insight or information or assitance when it comes to this? i also have ADD probably from the bipolar
Any words of wisdom would be great
Teresa

Good for you!
I believe to find/obtain the correct medical diagnosis/treatment took alot of commitment and perseverance. Possessing these qualities will allow you to achieve anything you truly set your mind out to do.
It's difficult to compare oneself prior to post treatment - try not to worry too much about past struggles.
The excitment you have to return tells me that you're "ready" for this step. The apprehension should pass as you receive some positive results.

Steve,
Thank you for the encouragement. You are right about not comparing my self to what I was before treatment. I will try those links.
Thanks again!

Sorry it took awhile to get back to you but Bipolar III is when your mood swings are more rapid. Could happen in one day or week by week. Mine are generally week by week. I can not take antidepressants they do through me into a manic state. I am actually being stabilized by an anti seisure med not normally used for bipolars.
Thank you for all the advise. I am definitely going for it! i am so excited and cant wait. It starts Monday.
This is the end of the thread.
