Maoi again and again

Posted by willyee on July 30, 2005, at 6:22:14

As if we needed anymore Maois on this current board, heres another....

I posted back to back, the presvious one states how this past month has been the worst for me.I am usualy able to in emergencys pull miracles togther and get by fine.Recently it seemed impossable, and i slipped to a depressive state even unknown to me,i was truly terrified.

Like a rat trapped in a corner,i panicked,on one hand i dident wanna do anything stupid,on the other i knew i needed some drastic measures until i can see a doc.

So i have begun the unthinkable,i added a NARDIL single tab late evening to my normal parnate dosing.

Can i end up posting im the biggest dumba- in a week or so,possably, but for now with a solid week of this i can say

I personaly have no interaction,WHATSOEVER adding 15mg of nardil daily to my normal parnate use.

Am i recomending this ...NO.Just something to think about when we hear the pure TERROR of washing out.Obvious to say im VERY VERY skeptical of a 2 week washout period needed from a parnate to nardil swithc.

To add a total twist to this post, can anyone tell me if this deprenyl patch is still on board,is there an expected release, etc.

Im thinking the effectivness of deprenyl with no dosage limitations will bring it close if not SURPASS any parnate success,

As well as the absorbotion, hell straight into the blood stream wow, then you have the fact that the medicine is not only effectly getting in,BUT its being slowly released ALL DAY!!!!

I gotta say i think with a anxiety agent, this patch will help A LOT LOT of people, and i plan to be hopefully some of the first with script in one hand, parnate pills in the other ready for the thrash!

No more red pills everywhere, yesss im on board!

Hi Willy
You might remember who this was. He was on 60mg/d deprenyl for 2 weeks. Seems to have slept (I think). I wouldn't. I have been thinking about what low dose Nardil and deprenyl would be like as a combo.
Or low dose N and P.
Quite low dose. Of course.

Im not familiar enough with nardils onset to really speak on any other combos, what its doing for me at night actualy is helping me sleep and stopping nightmares,so far.If its slowly adding an overall benfit ,well thats possable as i have been slowly lifting over the past 3 days, last night i went out with my brother and hung out at a bar, people all over and i was very social. This morning as well i feel ok,im just trying to go very very slow, ans not get ahead of myself.

What i will say is this, whichever combo u try, might be a good idea to go solid on one first,if u dont achieve some form of benifit from one, then i dont see a reason to augment it.

Parnate always provided some form of benifit which is why i continue to search for augmentors.I never understood the concept of augmenting a med that never worked period.Have u started any of these yet?

At the moment
Parnate 10mg/d
Deprenyl 1mg/d
Valium 7.5mg/d
Methadone 0.75mg/d
Pretty low dose huh? (except the Valium)

Yess i know parnate has an initial great response at the start of its use,10-20 mg.However most people will end up at least 40 mg.

I would just make sure u dont take the parnate in exact conjunction with parnate, and you should benifit from the use of both.

I also personaly found klonopin to be the better benzo with maois, valium not good at all,and xanax with specific benifts, however again klonopin seemed to work best with them

Have u tried to slowly add on to ur parnate?
