Has anyone out there been able to quit effexor without replacing it with another drug? I recently quit taking effexor xr 75mg. after 1 year on it. I quit because of the difficulty I was having getting refills on time from my doctor's group and tired of going into withdraw before they refilled the script. So I decided, since this last time took them 7 days to call in the refill and I was already deep into withdraw, that there was no since continuing or restarting the medication. I had pretty severe withdraw for about 10 days. The physical symptoms have settled down, but for the last couple of days I've been having crying jags over just about anything. Will the stop or settle down? if so when? anyone know? I would really appreciate any help. And certainly wish I had found this site sooner. After reading many, many threads I realize my body is not the enemy. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks
