Has anyone tried both wellbutrin and remeron. Can anyone give me an idea of how the anger side effect compares between the two?
Thanks

> LinkadgeI'd say the Wellbutrin much so, as just one dose had me in a nasty manic episode, that was very dysphoric. I've tried it again a few times, and the same thing has happened. I also got fairly grumpy with Remeron..not quite as bad though as I recall. I'd say try the Remeron first.
Best wishes,
Jay

>Wellburtrin- some increase in agression, irritability, sex drive. Remeron- didn't really experience anger, but I took a pretty low dose.. mainly for sleep. Good if your're too skinny and need to gain some weight.

I'm glad you stuck with it. 6 weeks? I don't know if I would have lasted that long. Kudos.
How did you go about titrating Wellbutrin?

Perhaps. It is possable however, to experience anger in the complete absence of any concievable means of extinguish it.

Started to do SR version, which became problematic, then switched over to 100mg immediate release which was almost it, then went to 75mg immediate release and went up from there. So i got up to 150 SR, then switched over to 200 with the 100mg ir, then went over to 75mg ir and got up to 300mg which is where i stayed for a couple years and last year went to 375mg when i needed to increase.
discovering that i needed to eliminate caffeine was really important.
