SSRI's cause more anxiety, add a benzo?

is there anyone on here that takes a ssri or antidepresant that causes anxiety so has to take a benzo to counteract the side effect? i take paxil cr and i dont worry as much but it gives me more anxiety, thinking about asking for tranxene since its helped before. Luvox did the same thing so i had to take tranxene with it?

Anyone experience anxiety on ssri's?

Yep... SSRI's make me much, much worse. Anxiety, akathasia, worsened depression- not the ones for me.

I've always taken a benzo with AD's. They say they're supposed to lessen anxiety, but that has not been my experience. Fondly, Phillipa

I could ONLY tolerate ssri's with benzo's, which I did for years to counteract anxiety and akathisia or possibly a bit of mixed hypomania. Now I cannot tolerate much SSRI and therefore need very little benzo. I did that routine for years.
