It seems many people are experiencing consistent relief on daily, scheduled Klonopin for their social anxiety without a deteorating effect over time. In the past, I've attempted scheduled Klonopin (usually around .5-1mg qd-bid), but after 3 or 4 days it seems the effect is gone. So now, I feel I can only take 1-2mg once or twice per week max to get the desired effect. However, I'm wondering if my subjective impression of the proper "effect" is a bit off...
In essence, when I take my Klonopin dose after about a week off, there is a bit of a euphoric feeling over the first few hours followed by a more mellow, anxiolytic effect that lasts a few more hours after that. So I guess what I'm wondering is, is it this initial "high" that wears off with consistent dosing, with the anxiolytic effect remaining for the long term? This is certainly fine, but I just really seem to benefit from the huge pro-social sensation I experience if I haven't taken the Klonopin for a week or so, and I don't want to lose this by scheduling it. But on the other hand, I could use some treatment for those "off" days as well when I'm not taking the Klonopin.
What kinds of Klonopin regimens are working for you? And how are the effects lasting once you establish a good regimen?
Thanks!

I've taken Klonopin for years at various dosages. I am now on 0.25 mg twice a day. Tolerance is not a problem for me if I keep the dosage low.
If you decide to try 0.25 mg x 2, give it a few weeks before you decide that it's not enough.
"a bit of a euphoric feeling" <- that should never happen with Klonopin. We are not talking Xanax or Valium, here. It may indicate that you are sensitive to Klonopin and need a really low dose.

Thanks for your post. Just curious- how much relief from your SP do you feel you are experiencing from Klonopin at the current dosing regimen? If no treatment leaves your SP at 100%, at what percent would you estimate your SP exists on Klonopin? Thanks for your info!
