I've been on Effexor for two years and I don't sweat during the day but sweat bucket-loads during the night, every night... So, it hasn't gone away for me, at least at night.

the sweating went away for me within a couple of months. It's very interesting to see how people respond differently to the same medication. I hope you can find a good solution if it is bothering you too much. good luck and best wishes

I was on this dose for about 7 months and I didn't stop sweating until the weather cooled off here (N. MIchigan). From May until September the sweating was extreme, then it just stopped. What kind of climate do you live in?

I have been having horrible night sweats for the last year. Sometimes they are so bad that i have to change my clothes twice during the night. The night sweats are drenching. What is strange is that they didn't start till i had already been taking the effexor for almost two years! I had everything else tested, but ultimately there is nothing else wrong and it seems like it has to be the Effexor. Has anyone started having this symptom so long after beginning to take the effexor?
PS. It is good to know i'm not alone with the lightening bolt headaches (brain-zaps) when i forget to take the effexor. Such a weird feeling.
