I understand many of you probably are not doctors, but when I pop my daily pills (in my case effexor)I wonder if what I drink and eat with my pills actually effects the digestion and proper effect of Effexor????? Like carbonated beverages i.e. red bull, rockstar energy drinks or diet soda.

Effexor irritates the stomach, so it is best taken with food. It is readily absorbed, so no interaction with food occurs. The only problem you'll have is if you consider e.g. a red bull to be the food that you're supposed to take it with. It should be taken with a meal, not a beverage.

I understand that it is supposed to be taken with food and I do, but is it to keep your stomach from getting upset or If you dont take it with food the MED wont work correctly.
