I increased my dosage of lexapro to 20 mgs. two weeks ago. I also take klonopin for panic. The first week I felt fine. This week is horrible. The klonopin can't even stop the panic entirely. My doc says give it two more weeks. I feel agoraphobic from 20 mgs. I felt better before. But she thinks 20 mgs. will stop the panic all together. Anyone else been in this situation? What do I do? What it out and hope it gets better. HELP!!!

I'm currently at 15mg of Lex, up from 10mg a month ago. I bumped mine up (on my own) as I was feeling really run-down late in the day as fall approaches. The extra 5mg helped give me a bit of a boost that I needed. I may have to jump to 20mg when winter really hits (February - Yuck!)
You should be getting the benefits from the increase already. Give your pdoc's suggestion a try - wait for two more weeks before you reach a conclusion. It may be tough to hang in there with all of the anxiety, but make extra sure you get good rest. For me, good quality sleep with Lexapro is essential. If my sleep is poor or if I have had an extra busy week, it can set me off into a hypomanic state (not entirely unpleasant) but makes me more irritable and anxious.
You don't mention your sleep, but if it is a problem, discuss Seroquel with you pdoc - it works great as a sleep aid for me. 25mg on a normal night, 50mg when I'm all wound up.
Hope this helps.
