I think that Strattera is causing me to wake up early in the morning, to have headaches, and to have dilated pupils. Does anyone else have these side effects?
I don't know if it's having sexual effects on me, since I haven't had much sex drive or sexual response for years, even though I'm only 26 years old. Medications and depression have pretty much ruined sex for me. At this point, I don't know which is having the worse effect on sex for me. I take Strattera, Wellbutrin SR, and Klonopin.

I have been anywhere from 40mg a day to 80mg a day with Strattera. I notice that I have had a lot of chest tightness, as well as been battleing upper back and neck tension which creates headaches.
I have a generalized anxiety disorder, and also use Klonopin. My Klonopin dosage went up a couple milligrams after starting the Strattera. I have used Strattera for several weeks now, and these last few days I have been debateing whether to stay on the Strattera, or try Nortriptyline again.
I like the Strattera, but nothing seems to be able to combat the chest tightness. Only thing that works is too take more Klonopin or a muscle relaxer, but that is not a road I wish to go down either.
I just plain don't know what the Strattera is doing to me to be causing the chest tightness, and I ponder if the Strattera is also a culprit of my upper back and neck tension.
Regards,
Cmatt

I have only experience with Reboxetine which is also a noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor, but the SE are the same. For us girls it has mild side effects, but for guys it can cause urine retention and genital pain!! I liked the energy enhancing effect and the easy to wake up thing. It can also cause constipation but it goes with time.
For the low sex drive you have I would recomment Selegiline at 5 to 15 mg a day. I am pretty sure it will help. Almost everyone who have been on it experience the enhanced sexual drive and some explosive orgasms !!!!!! That's the dopamine thing :)

Since I began the Stratterra (in addition to Buspar, Prozac and Provigil) I have been unable to get my breath after exertion. It doesn't bother me to jog or something else aerobic but if I strain like in lifting I cannot get my breath. I do not know if this is only heat related as Ihave not been through a winter with it. This is restrictive to me as I ride horses for many miles in a limited time frame and it has interfered. I only take 25mg as that is all I can tolerate with this side effect (I am guessing it is from the stratterra) but it has really helped with anxiety and depression and motivation. So I am hanging in there with it. It took a long long time to adjust to it. BTW, I have had an EEG and cardiac echo and the heart is fine. My BP is normal but pulse has elevated about 10 beats since adding the stratterra. If anyone else has this I would love to know as I think I am all alone in this particular boat!!
Thanks,
Donna

i developed an anhedonic depression after about a year on 80 mg strattera. i am restarting it in an attempt to get my ADD symptoms under control until i can find something better. strattera makes my mouth a desert, and aggravates constipation, but these s/e are nothing compared to what i got from provigil. of the three meds you're taking, strattera would be the most likely to have sexual s/e, but it would be much less likely to have this s/e than say lexapro.
