Ok, here are my impressions / experiences ... do not substitute / take them for medical advice because I'm in NO WAY qualified to do so.
I've taken the Seroquel and the Zyprexa for the "psychotic features" of my depression and really, that was the biggest mistake I ever made. You don't mention the dosage but I was on Seroquel 50 and then Zyprexa 5 ... which is HUGE when its just to "alleviate insomnia and slight psychotic features" and it basically turned me into a total zombie. I could not function, I had seizures, I was falling down and I could barely talk.
Sometimes docs prescribe antipsychotics a little bit to easily in my opinion ... I mean sure you're not going to commit suicide ... you're too drugged up to even think about it, let alone act upon it.
What has helped me alot with the depression and alot of the symptoms that go with it like the violent thoughts and urges which are basically just anxiety symptoms and what not was Effexor. It took a high dosage (300) and an augmenting agent (celexa 20) but it did work ... and much better than with the blasted antipsychotics.
Seriously, all those antipsychotics and weird meds they gave me to take at night only made things worse. Sure I slept ... but I slept like 16hous a day ... which doesn't work very well when you have a job. In the end, stopping them made the insomnia worse for a little while but then it just stopped and as the ADs did their job my sleep came back on its own and I could actually function.
Sometimes fewer meds is better than more because you can end up adding meds to counteract the SE of other meds and well, this can go on for very long and leave you serisously overmedicated.
Have you thought about getting another doctor or at least another opinion on your medication regiment. It might be usefull.

Hi Tepiaca,
Have you tried increasing Nardil?
How about adding an antipsychotic to Nardil & removing Klonopin?
Cheers,
Panda.

>If Seroquel works, take it & try & go off Klonpin slowly as it maybe causing you extra depression. I would stay with Nardil or maybe change to Parnate. Seroquel would also be handy to have when you have a hypertensive crisis as it is a potent alpha-1 NE antagonist. In a crisis I would take a kingsize dosage(600mg) of it on your way to the doctors or hospital.
Cheers,
Panda.
