> Help!! I just got divorced, have been taking lexapro for over 15 months. Started at 10mg and lost so much weight crying , had to go to 20 mg. I currently have a new boyfriend (post divorce), but cannot have an orgasm no matter how hard he tries. Any suggestions?

hey sally sue - i had the same problem when i was taking zoloft. i begged my pdoc to switch me to celexa which pretty much alleviated the problem. about 3 years ago i added wellbutrin to the celexa and reaching orgasm is really never a problem now. you should ask your pdoc about adding wellbutrin to your lex.

hey Sallie Sue,
greetings! I hope you're feeling better. About Lex and inorgasmia, here are a few things my doc told me:1. This is a bigger problem than reported, b/c many people are ashamed/embarrassed to tell
2. Sometimes you can't help this problem. But sometimes you can!
3. Try taking your daily dose in the evening. Have sex before taking the pill.
4. Give yourself a mini drug holiday once in a while to see if this helps sex. For example, if you want to have sex Sat. nite, don't take the Lex Friday, and take it after sex Sat. *** Of course, only do this WITH the concurrence of your doc. He/she may not feel this is right for you.
5. Have you talked to your doc about this? He/she may be able to suggest other options, such as switching drugs or seeing if that Avlimil stuff is OK for people on SSRI's.
Hope things work out. Take care!
