Hi Donna,I have been following your "journey" almost from day one. You need a competent psychiatrist, indeed. Moreover you need the right medication. It appears you live in UK and it is very difficult to have an appointement with a good pdoc. Fine.
What i could suggest to you is to find out a great doctor. I mean a very very good family doctor, a gp. Sorry to tell you, but (for me) your family doctor seems and sounds to be a pure incompetent. You don't need to suffer like you do.
I keep my fingers crossed for your heart, but my little finger tells me you're healthy. Btw, even with a good result your obsessions wont stop. They belong to your illness, they are part of it.
Finally, i encourage you to take your medication correctly. It is better than nothing, though. Oh and i hope you take at least some fish oil and a good multivitamin. This is the basis.
Wishing you all the best.

I am sorry you going through such hell right now.
Do you do any therapy? It sounds like you could use some cognitive behavioural therapy to help you with your thoughts. There are some workbooks out there that you can do on your own.
Also, ask your doctor if you can do the Holter test where you where a mini heart monitor for 24 hours. It records everything you heart is doing. If you feel something funny going on you log it, and then they look at that portion of the tape to see what you heart is doing. Have this test may decrease your anxiety.
We are here for you.
Hugs,
Maxime

What would you like to see happen from here? People have listed many drugs that you could ask your doc about? Have you discussed the other meds for your paniac attacks with the doc? Recently in your post, you stated you weren't safe and gave your meds to a friend. Did you bring this to the doctor's attention?
This is the end of the thread.
