If anyone can help me figure this out I would REALLY appreciate it, I'm going nuts here! A few weeks ago pdoc switched my sleep med from Restoril to Halcion. I tapered off the Restoril slowly because when I tried to come off it gave me nausea and kicked in depression, while adding the Halcion. Last Friday she pulled me completely off the Restoril and onto the Halcion. I am so nauseous and also very agitated and impatient. Is it the withdrawal that causes this nausea and agitation? I have never been through benzo withdrawal so I don't know if these symptoms are continued withdrawal or is it that the Restoril calmed me down during the day and now I don't have it anymore? I AM sleeping but I feel sooo horrible during the day. Fighting waves of nausea and feel fatigued. I also take Lamictal and a small dose of Zoloft. Also, a few months ago I weaned completely off of Remeron which I had been on for almost 3 years. I have also been dropping the Remeron weight like mad. I can literally FEEL my metabolism changing back and am burning hot all the time. Can anyone make any heads or tales of this for me?

hello, chemist here. you have my sympathies....i would attribute some withdrawl from restoril, but nothing of the severity you descibe. is it possible that the longer-acting restoril was masking preexisting symptoms of discomfort from lacictal and/or zofloft all along? please do advize, and all the best, chemist

>Hi Rainbowlight,
How long have you been without Remeron? One of it's side effects is that it's a good antinausea drug & may have been masking the nausea that might be coming from Zoloft or Lamictal.
Cheers,
Panda.
