Meth has been available as Desoxyn for what seems like forever, and Able Laboratories is the first company to get a generic approved? Well, it may be a foolish move on their part, I suppose... not much money to be made in a drug that docs won't prescribe. :-\
It got me thinking about meth again though, and I think I may switch off my Adderall and give the meth a test-run for a month or so, then report back to you all about how it holds up to Desoxyn.

I thought it was cute to get that Abbot "a" logo on my Desoxyn tabs, until they changed it to "o" or whatever after Ovation bought the branding rights.
Like Desoxyephederine is hard to make generic! I can't believe that Ovation paid Abbott $40 million for branding rights... must have assumed a generic wouldn't be able to have the time for the DEA paperwork, as it's a C-II.
Adderall was made generic by Barr only because they're big enough to deal with the overhead C-II generics require.
And please, don't use the "M" word-- these are low, oral doses-- and you don't deserve to be associated with 99% of its non-prescribed abuse. As for as prescribing goes, I hate to shock you, but RItalin and Adderall are just as controlled and hard to get, as C-IIs.
